Factors to consider when inputting the payments into the calculator:

• Input data based on calendar year.

• Do not include payments made under a temporary support order.

• Do not include payments required over a period of at least three calendar years based on a fixed percentage of income from a business, a property, salary, or self-employment. In other words, do not count payments that are intended to vary according to your income, if such variable payments extend over at least three years.

• Do not include payments that decrease due to the death of either a former spouse or the remarriage of a former spouse receiving the payments.
